My body of work primarily focuses on pattern, texture, line-work, and the layering of mediums. With vintage inspiration, pieces showcase diminutive details through a range of subject matter. Elements of design present a whimsical existence in newer works through dainty florals and dilapidated structures that weave in and out of, or follow a bewildered pattern. Artworks in the collection enhance the attention of the chosen subject(s) through strong compositions that are centrally focused. Images such as rigid bone contrasted by organic displays of plantlife makeup some of my most recent arrangements. Paint is also utilized to accent organic shapes that fill the space while backgrounds seem to be void and distant, flooded with color, pattern, or line work. Sizes of the works range from small, hand-held or table-top canvases to much larger, focal works; each splayed with a high level of detail and attention to textural marks and color washes.
