Painted House (2018)

My present body of work primarily focuses on pattern, texture, line-work, and the layering of mediums. With vintage inspiration, the showcased piece offers diminutive details for viewer exploration. Elements of design present a whimsical existence in the dilapidated structure that weaves in and out of and follows a preliminary background. The space is void of context: distant, but flooded with color and pattern to support the subject’s line-work. The derelict framework cradles over weak supports, referencing back to the fragile existence considered in previous works.
